Well Thats Egg-citing....

The eggplant plant that I planted (how many times can I use plant in a sentence...?) For a client's container has actually sprouted well, an eggplant. I'm not sure why I am so amazed- if it had grown a cucumber or a zucchini or something- but as it is an eggplant plant, it has grown just that. Isn't it cute?



And yes, that is another baby one growing right above it. They are a miniature variety so I don't think it should get too much bigger.


I wonder if they will pick them? Maybe they could make little miniature Eggplant Parmesan appetizers or a bruschette caponata? (They are sitting in front of an Italian restaurant.) I think they are sweet, so I hope they don't get plucked too soon.
