The Wise Pair

We recently brought out all of our Spring books for the boys- one of my favorite is the Golden Egg Book- written by Margaret Wise Brown. The story is sweet, but its the illustrations by Leonard Weisgard that captured my heart.

Each page has a large drawing inset in the middle with little woodland flowers, greens and scenes dancing about around them.



First printed in 1947, the pair went on to pen & paint over a dozen books together.

A pretty paper spring pick me up in deed.
