Flowers from this week...
Lots of fallish flowers in decidedly feminine colors. There are dahlia, ranunculus, celosia, palest pink hydrangea, garden roses (Jeanne Moreau) and lots and lots of pink pepperberry.
Meg Ryan's character in You've Got Mail said, "I love daisies...don't you think that daisies are the friendliest flower?" I don't really think so. I think dahlias are the friendliest. Really, I think I do- they have such happy faces...hmmm. Tell me you personify inanimate objects as much as I do.
The ranuncs were on the smallish side, but just perfect.
Ga, ga, ga... its funny, (well to me its funny...nevertheless, I am still sharing it with you...) I never really was much of a rose person. But time after time I find myself at the market with these amazing huge garden roses just staring up at me-willing me to put them in my basket (again with the personification...) - and I obediently obey, and I when I get them home, I just marvel at how beautiful they are as my house fills up with the most amazing scents reminiscent of a time gone by.... And now I guess I can say I am a bit of a rose person.
I suppose I am rather really rosie...do you remember Carole King singing Really Rosie? Oh if I could count the times I wished I was one of the Nutshell Kids- or Rosie in her hat and boa...! Click here for a fun, feel good refresher, (or an introduction) and have a happy Weekend!
I love this. It's one of my favorites!!!Beautiful. Sally
